Annual campaign partners with Marie Osmond, Magic Johnson, Fran Drescher, Gary Sinise, Dolph Lundgren, and more to benefit national and local charities
Paul Mitchell Schools will kick off their 13th annual FUNraising campaign on March 1, 2016, with a goal of raising $2.5 million for nine major charities and dozens of local nonprofits. Last year, Paul Mitchell Schools raised $1.7 million, bringing their 12-year total to over $15.2 million. They proudly report that the cost incurred in raising the $15.2 million has been less than 4%, an amazingly low amount compared to the national average of 25%.

After three months of cut-a-thons, fashion shows, princess parties, and thousands of other “FUNraising” events, the 14,000 Future Professionals and staff members from 110 Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools raised $1.7 million in their 2015 FUNraising campaign. Proceeds will benefit 11 major nonprofits and several smaller charities chosen by Paul Mitchell Schools in their local communities.

Paul Mitchell Schools kicked off their 12th annual FUNraising campaign on February 1, 2015. Students and staff members from over 100 Paul Mitchell Schools have the months of February through April raising money for charitable organizations. Their goal: $2.5 million. Their partners: A star-studded celebrity lineup representing 11 spectacular charities.
The annual FUNraising Gala, the highlight of the annual campaign, takes place on May 3, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. This year’s gala will be co-hosted by Winn Claybaugh and Pauley Perrette,with additional support from John Paul DeJoria, Fran Drescher, Magic Johnson, Marie Osmond, Gary Sinise, Dolph Lundgren, Kathy Buckley, Leeza Gibbons, and representatives of the other supported charities. The event celebrates all of the participating schools while raising additional money. Entertainment provided by impressionist Jeff Tracta.

(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – May 4, 2014) – After three months and literally thousands of hair shows, casual days, cut-a-thons, and “FUNraisers,” more than 13,000 cosmetology students from 110 Paul Mitchell Schools raised over $2.1 million for 11 selected charities, bringing their 11-year total to more than $13.3 million. This year’s total was announced at the annual FUNraising Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton and hosted by actor, producer, cancer activist Fran Drescher and Paul Mitchell Schools’ Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh.

(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – May 5, 2013) – At a time when most nonprofits are seeing declining donations, 16,000 cosmetology students and staff members from the nationwide network of Paul Mitchell Schools raised $2.6 million in three months, surpassing their goal, hitting their tenth consecutive all-time high, and bringing their grand total to over $11.2 million.
“This doesn’t happen in one night or one big show,” said Paul Mitchell Schools Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh. “We call it a FUNraising marathon. It’s fun because our future professionals dream up creative ways to raise the money, such as “Studs and Suds” car washes, cut-a-thons, telethons, and fashion shows for people and pets. And it’s a three-month marathon that involved over 4,000 events by our 101 schools to reach this year’s goal.”
The 10th anniversary celebration was a full-scale love fest at the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom, with Winn and co-host Kathy Buckley recognizing and acknowledging guests from the 11 supported charities along with many superstar celebrities and industry icons in the audience.
Habitat for Humanity Final Report for Paul Mitchell Schools
The January 2010 earthquake damaged nearly 190,000 houses in Haiti, and 105,000 of those houses were destroyed. Of the more than 2 miliion affected survivors, more than 350,000 are still displaced and living in settlement sites. Thanks to Paul Mitchell Schools' generous gift in 2013, along with help from many other partners, Habitat for Humanity completed a major milestone: building 300 core homes in the community of Santo. Animal Illness Meets Its Match
DENVER/January 8, 2012—Animal lovers across the country invested in a brighter future for animals in December 2012. Thousands of supporters helped Morris Animal Foundation surpass its year-end Matching Gift Challenge of $50,000, which was sponsored by Paul Mitchell Schools.
